Endometriosis
What is Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a chronic, inflammatory condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (the endometrium) grows outside the uterus. These growths- often found on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, pelvic lining, and sometimes beyond - respond to hormonal changes throughout the menstrual cycle.
Unlike the uterine lining, which sheds during menstruation, this misplaced tissue has no easy way to exit the body. This can lead to inflammation, pain, scar tissue (adhesions), and disruptions in reproductive and overall health.
Endometriosis affects approximately 1 in 10 individuals of reproductive age, yet it is often underdiagnosed or misdiagnosed, with many people experiencing symptoms for years before receiving proper care.

Why a Naturopathic Approach?
Endometriosis is a complex condition influenced by hormones, inflammation, immune function, and environmental factors. A naturopathic approach focuses on addressing root causes, reducing symptoms, and supporting long-term health through individualized care.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment, naturopathic care considers your unique presentation, lifestyle, and goals—especially if fertility is a priority.

A Collaborative Approach
While naturopathic medicine offers powerful tools, it works best as part of an integrative approach. This may include collaboration with:
-
Gynecologists
-
Fertility specialists
-
Pelvic health physiotherapists
In some cases, imaging or surgical intervention may be necessary for diagnosis or symptom relief.

You Deserve to Feel Better
Endometriosis is not “just bad periods.” It is a complex condition that deserves comprehensive, compassionate care.
With the right support, many individuals experience:
-
Reduced pain
-
Improved cycle regularity
-
Better energy and quality of life
